• Amanda Arriola

My name is Amanda and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist living and practicing in New Braunfels, Texas. I received my M.A. in professional counseling from Texas State University and in 2019 went through the TSU Animal Assisted Counseling Academy with my therapy dog, Cleo.

I have a passion for working with children and have worked with kiddos of all ages as a public school teacher and a counselor since 2011. I love incorporating play, art therapy techniques, and animal assisted interventions in my sessions. I strive to create a trusting relationship with each child and their family and create a safe and fun space for processing feelings.

I believe that each client has innate strengths and abilities that can help them work toward therapeutic goals. I provide play therapy, individual counseling and canine assisted counseling for children, adolescents and teens ages 3-18.

Outside of my work as a counselor, I am a proud wife and mom of two young children, a Labrador Retriever and a cat. I love spending time with my family, traveling and trying new foods.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my practice. If you have any questions about my practice or how I can be a part of your child’s journey, please reach out.
